AINTREE 4.05
EQUUS DANCER (system – Peter Bowen, Topham Chase)
Trainer Peter Bowen targets the Topham Chase and his 21 runners have produced five winners for a profit of £64.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. He also saddled placed horses at 28-1, 25-1 and 16-1, suggesting that EQUUS DANCER, his only runner this year, could be worth an each-way punt.
LEICESTER 4.55
CUBANISTA (system – Pam Sly, Leicester, Class 5 or lower)
Pam Sly has a solid record with her Flat runners at Leicester, scoring with 14 of the 95 qualifiers this century for a profit of £98.63 to the usual £1 stake. In Class 5 or lower company the profit improves to £129.25. CUNBANISTA is capable of running well when fresh and looks worth an interest on his seasonal return.
SOUTHWELL 6.00
BACK IN TENNESSEE (system – Victory Dartnall, first run for the yard, handicaps)
Victor Dartnall does well with stable switchers when they debut for him in handicap company, scoring with 14 of the 51 qualifiers this century for a profit of £24.75 to a £1 level stake at SP. The latest qualifier was second at 150-1 and an each-way approach is advised for BACK IN TENNESSEE, who did second best of the hold-up horses in a 66-1 fourth at Kempton for Paul George when we last saw him.
SOUTHWELL 8.00
VICTORS DREAM (Marco Botti, turf to Tapeta switchers)
Marco Botti has an excellent record when switching a runner from turf to Tapeta, scoring with ten of the 38 qualifiers at Newcastle (+£44.58 to a £1 level stake at SP) and 55 of the 240 qualifiers at Wolverhampton (+£82.60). His four qualifiers at Southwell all blanked but one ran second and VICTORS DREAM, who ran very green when beating only one home at Nottingham on his recent debut, might out-run huge odds (he was a general 66-1 shot at the time of writing) in this 6f maiden.
