Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Gabriel Jesus, as the forward has been out of action since suffering a knee injury at the World Cup.
It has now been nine weeks since Arsenal front-man Gabriel Jesus suffered a knee injury on Brazil duty at this year’s World Cup.
Jesus was in good form ahead of the competition, scoring five goals and assisting another five in just 14 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.

In Jesus’ absence, Eddie Nketiah has stepped up as the starting striker, performing well for Arteta’s side. Nketiah however, is the only fit out-and-out striker at their disposal, therefore Jesus’ return would be very well received by all.
Ahead of Saturday’s tie against Brentford, Arteta was asked to provide an injury update.
“The ones that were long-term like Emile, Reiss and Gabi Jesus are closer.
“They have started to do some activities and have been outside but they are not ready yet to contribute.”
🗣 "Gabi is doing really well, he keeps pushing everybody."

Alongside Jesus, Emile Smith-Rowe and Reiss Nelson, Mohamed Elneny also remains on the sidelines, and will do so for an extended period of time.
The Egyptian has had a successful surgery on his right knee, with Arsenal stating that a detailed timescale for his return will be established once the early stages of rehab have been completed.
Arsenal remain five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, despite losing to relegation-battling Everton, thanks to Manchester City losing to Tottenham Hotspur.
Saturday’s visitors Brentford are in fine form, as the Bees sit in 7th, without a loss in the league since returning from the World Cup.
Premier League betting sites have Arsenal priced at around 4/9 to win at the weekend, with Brentford priced at around 6/1 to overcome the league leaders.
