The January Transfer Window is approaching its second week and we have yet to see the traditional big clubs landing any new faces. But as always, there are constant speculations, and in this Transfer Lens segment, we bring out the best stories from UK newspapers today.

First, the big news from The Guardian. Lionel Messi said last night in the Ballon d’Or gala in Zurich that his future at Barcelona is uncertain, and quite naturally it sparked fresh speculations on his future yet again.

Guardian’s very reliable and reputed journalist Sid Lowe claims United have the financial muscle to pay £195m, his buy-out clause, for the Argentine wizard.

Moving to other Manchester United transfer news, Ian Ladyman of The Daily Mail claims that Falcao’s United future is in danger, and he asks the question – “Would you pay £43m for Falcao?” Well, I’m not so sure…

The Daily Express has covered a report on their back page where they claim United are also interested in signing Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and are preparing an offer of £25m for the French midfielder.
