According to reputed journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester City’s Matija Nastasic could be on his way to Bundesliga, with Roberto Di Matteo’s Schalke being the most possible destination.
The Serbian centre back has grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of first team opportunities at Etihad. The arrival of Mangala has further damaged his first team chances and it is believed that the Serbian is looking to kick start his stagnating career with a move abroad.
Nastasic has been tracked by the likes of Milan and Inter, however the German outfit are thought to be leading the chase for the highly talented defender.
Di Matteo is looking to shore up his defence this January and the former Chelsea manager has identified Nastastic as the perfect option for his team.
According to Di Marzio, Schalke will snap up the young centre back on loan with an option to buy.

Should the move materialise, it will be highly beneficial for both parties as Nastasic will get the regular game time he has been starved of and Schalke will have an extremely talented young centre back on their hands, at a bargain.
