With only few days remaining for the transfer window to slum shut, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers seems in a hurry to sign a player or two.

The Sunday People reports that Reds manager is ready to swoop for Spanish starlet Saul Niguez, who is also a reported target of Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 19-year-old Atletico Madrid player is currently on loan at Rayo Vallecano and is desperate to get his future sorted first. According to the report, Rodgers will take a decision within next 24 hours on the midfielder, whether to make a formal move for him or not.

Saul has a fixed price of £20m in his contract with Atletico but Liverpool feel any offer in the region of £12m will be enough to prise him away.

Arsenal are thought to be heavily interested in the player, with the Gunners having already met with Luis Antonio Niguez, Saul’s father while Chelsea and Manchester United have also registered their interest too.

Liverpool can offer him regular first team action while Rodgers may look for an extra capture to keep their top four hopes going.

Meanwhile, Rodgers has insisted yesterday that the Reds will push hard to sign Mohamed Salah, who is almost certain to join Chelsea.
