Manchester United fans aren’t particularly happy with Louis van Gaal. In recent matches, United fans have shown their discontentment over United’s style of play.

On the other hand, Chelsea have been struggling badly in the league, and Jose Mourinho’s job has come under scrutiny. Find any connection? Guess what, borne out a juicy transfer story!

According to Le10Sport (via Sport Witness), Jose Mourinho could end up at Manchester United next summer.

The French magazine suggest that Manchester United’s owners are not fully satisfied with the Dutchman’s management at Old Trafford, and thereby might be interested in securing Mourinho’s services.

The thing is result is always the king in football, and a manager is judged based on the results only. A dull 1-0 win garners 3 points, where a highly entertaining 4-4 draw gets you only a single point.

I think the bigger concern with United fans is that they haven’t been able to score any goals at all in the last few games. Had United beaten City and Palace by 1-0 margin, very few of those fans would have been complaining.

Furthermore, United’s results have improved under Louis van Gaal this season. The Red Devils currently sit just four points off first place in the Premier League standings.

And there is no guarantee that Jose Mourinho would fix United’s problems when he can’t find a solution to put an end to Chelsea’s woes this season.

Also, Jose Mourinho is not known to be a manager who sets his side to play a vibrant, attacking football. Judging from every possible angle, Mourinho probably is not the answer to what Glazers are looking for next season.
