Oliver Kay, chief Football Correspondent for The Times newspaper confirmed the news in twitter.

The 54 year old Italian who took over the reins at Real from Jose Mourinho in the past summer has done a remarkable job in Europe by guiding the Galacticos the semi finals of the Champions League.

Real have a slender advantage going into the second leg of the semi finals against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Speaking ahead of the intriguing clash in Munich Ancelotti said, “Tomorrow’s match will be very difficult and complicated. We play against a great team. We just have a small advantage. We will try to play good football. We are not a team that just defends.”

“We are not stupid to think that we have already won. This will be a very tough encounter. The good news is that I have the entire team in good physical and mental state.”

The Italian also shrugged off interest linking him to Manchester United in the summer.

“It’s strange to discuss my future in the middle of a Champions League semifinal. I respect everyone. I haven’t had contact with Manchester United. I want to stay at Real Madrid for a long time.”

United had earlier sacked David Moyes last week following a horrendous campaign for teh Scot. Club legend Ryan Giggs will see out the season till a new replacement is brought in. Dutch Legend Louis Van Gaal has already been reported close to take charge of the Red Devils but any formal decision is yet to be made.
