Real Madrid kept their perfect home record in tact but Atletico Madrid made it a close match.
Atletico would strike first in the 10th minute as Jose Antonio Reyes scored in the 10th minute. Real would come back and take the lead in the second half with three unanswered goals. They came from Xabi Alonso (49th minute), Alvaro Arbeloa (55th minute), and Gonzalo Higuain (62nd minute).
Atletico would not give up despite being down two goals and would cut the lead to one with a Diego Forland goal (penalty) in the 68th minute. That’s as close as Atletico would get as Real Madrid held on for the 3-2 win and are back on top of the La Liga table.
