Glasgow Rangers forward Ianis Hagi has become a favourite at Ibrox since joining the club in January.

The 21-year-old joined the Gers on loan from Genk in the January transfer window.

He has a contract with the Ibrox club till the end of the season.

Hagi has made a strong impact since joining the club. He has scored three goals in all competitions already and has impressed heavily in the Europa League.

His impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed with several Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City reportedly vying for his signature.

Earlier this month, Romanian agent Giovani Becali revealed that Jose Mourinho and Txiki Begiristain have asked about Hagi recently.

Rangers have the option to make the move permanent but he would be too expensive for the club.

However, The Sunday Post claim that Rangers would be looking to sign the 21-year-old for £4.5 million this summer.

After that, the Gers would sell him to the highest bidder with a fee of around £9 million being mooted.

Spurs could be interested in signing an exciting young talent like Hagi and they could be willing to pay that amount if they’re convinced about the player’s potential.

This would be a transfer masterstroke from Rangers, especially during the summer when clubs would struggle financially to make an impact in the market due to the impact of the Coronavirus.

Rangers could make a profit of £4-5 million which is quite a lot of money for them.
