Raheem Sterling’s agent Aidy Ward has confirmed that the midfielder wants to leave Liverpool in the upcoming summer transfer window. London Evening Standard confirmed the recent developments a short while ago this morning where Ward said that Sterling would refuse to sign a new deal even if he was offered nearly £1m a week and may well return to London to play for Chelsea.

Sterling has already refused to put pen on paper to a £100,000-a-week deal and is set to have a crunch meeting with manager Brendan Rodgers and club chief executive Ian Ayre tomorrow.

This is not all though. Liverpool fans hold your breath for more.

Ward in fact also told the Standard he “didn’t care” about the club or its image and also dismissed criticism by former players as “irrelevant”. He also branded Liverpool legend and now Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher “a knob”.

Ward said, “I don’t care about the PR of the club and the club situation. I don’t care. He is definitely not signing. He’s not signing for £700, £800, £900 thousand a week. He is not signing. My job is to make sure I do the best with them (my clients). If people say I am bad at my job, or they are badly advised it does not matter.”

Sterling though had said in a recent interview with BBC that he was not a “money-grabber”. However with Ward making such comments, it can only get sour at Anfield.

Earlier in the day we reported that Manchester United made a move for Sterling which featured a request of how much it would cost to buy the unsettled 20-year-old. Liverpool though made it clear that they will not entertain any further communication on the subject. Manchester City are also interested in the winger while Chelsea could also enter the fray.
