Manchester United left back, Luke Shaw suffered a broken leg earlier this month, during the club’s Champions league loss against PSV Eindhoven.

The England international picked up a horror injury after a tackle from PSV defender, Hector Moreno. The Mexican centre back has now opened up about his visit to Shaw after the game and has revealed how Shaw made him feel good about the situation.

PSV defender Hector Moreno has revealed that he visited the hospital in Eindhoven, where Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw was being treated.

Moreno claimed that he was shocked at how bad Luke Shaw’s injury was and visited the England international to offer his sympathy and apology. However, the Mexican was pleasantly surprised at how Shaw reacted to his visited.

According to Moreno, Shaw refused to blame him and claimed that it was a part of football.

“What happened to Shaw was very unfortunate. I was just in shock. I’m glad I was able to speak to him. I went to the hospital with Phillip Cocu. In the beginning it was difficult. But he was very kind and did not blame me. He had seen the images and said this was part of football. That made me smile.”, said the PSV defender.

Although Moreno will not find such reactions when he visits Manchester later in the season, injuries are indeed a part of football. Plus, Moreno’s tackle, as suggested by Manchester United legend Roy Keane, was hardly a bad one.

It was unfortunate that Shaw had his studs stuck in the grass. However, it is refreshing to see Luke Shaw embracing the situation in a positive manner. We wish him the very best and hope the player recovers fully.
