Long-term Manchester United target Lucas Moura has revealed he is enjoying his life in Paris, which convinced him to continue at Paris Saint-Germain and snub a chance to join the Premier League giants.

The 23-year-ol was close to completing a switch to Old Trafford when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge at the club. However, he left Sao Paulo and decided to join the Ligue 1 winners in 2013.

Lack of playing time and dip in form has seen him being linked away from Parc des Princes. This had alerted United as Louis van Gaal was looking to add the £28.1m playmaker to the Red Devils’ squad.

The deal did not take shape as Moura continued with his current employers. Further ahead, he went and extend his stay at PSG until 2019 by signing a new contract in June. The Brazil international says he is happy with his life in Paris and has set his sights on winning the Champions League with the French club.

“I love being in Paris. I want to make history. I feel that I can win the Champions League with PSG. But it is not only the club, but also life in Paris which is fantastic. That’s why I want to stay here long,” Moura told France Football.

“At first, my family and I missed our friends. The Brazilians are very close to their families, even in difficult times. We are always happy to be together.

“Now everything is better because I live with my mother, my stepfather, my girlfriend. I cannot complain about anything. I live in the most beautiful city in the world. Moreover, I am doing something that I love: playing football.”
