Ezequiel Lavezzi’s career at Paris St Germain might well come to a premature end in the upcoming months. Lavezzi was close to agreeing a deal with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg but the Geramn club pulled out of the deal as PSG were demanding a €30 m transfer fee.

The 29 year old was also linked with Liverpool and Chelsea in the summer but stayed put at PSG in the transfer window. The Argentine refused to sign a contract extension with the Parisians in September and his future in France has been thrown into doubt ever since.

Naples based media outlet Napoli Style have now claimed thet Lavezzi could make a return to his former club Napoli in the upcoming January transfer window. The attacking midfwilder cum forward is still admired by the Partenopei and are desperate to sign a replacement for Lorenzo Insigne, the Italian who has been ruled out for 5-6 sur to injury.

The reports claims that Napoli would ask PSG for a loan deal till the end of the season but they will have no obligations to purchase the player. Lavezzi is determined to resurrect his career and it is believed that he would do anything to return to Naples. The World Cup runner up has a contract with PSG till 2016 but the Parc De Princes are interested to sell the player to any potential suitors.

A return to Italy looks the most feasible option as the 29 year old would struggle to cope up with the pace of the Premier League. Moreover, he has enjoyed his formative years in Italy, the surroundings which he has been adjusted with.
