Manchester United are interested in signing the in demand Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer.

The Armenian has had a splendid season with the Germans and is being linked with a move to the Premier League. The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are all interested in him.

The Dortmund midfielder has one year left on his current deal and the Bundesliga outfit are yet to reach an agreement regarding an extension.

The player’s unreasonable demands might force the German outfit to sell him this summer or they risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.

German newspaper Bild are reporting that Manchester United’s interest in the player is a fact and the Red Devils are willing to pay around 30 million Euros for his services.

Even though he is in the last year of his contract, 30 million Euros for Mkhitaryan would be a fantastic deal for the buying club. The Armenian is one of the best number ten’s in the game right now and would be a massive upgrade on the likes of Rooney and Mata.

Earlier there were reports that Mkhitaryan is closing in on a move to Arsenal, however, those stories have died down since then.

In other news, Chelsea are eyeing up a move for the highly talented French centre back Samuel Umtiti.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea are interested in signing the defender and has already got in touch with his brother and agent Yannick Umtiti.

Umtiti is a target for Barcelona and Arsenal as well. Apparently, the player prefers a move to Barcelona.

It is understood that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to break the bank for Umtiti this summer.

Conte plans to reshape the Chelsea defence this summer and the addition of Umtiti could prove to be a masterstroke for now as well as the future.
