Premier League predictions: easy wins expected for Arsenal and Manchester United

Just one week without watching our clubs drives us crazy. We want club football and it is back. It is also the first full round since the transfer window shut and will be our first chance to see the completed squads in action. The round starts with eight games on Saturday and there could be some close calls and interesting battles. Here is my Premier League preview for Saturday:

This weekends action kicks off with Manchester United v Crystal Palace – Moyes will be hoping for a big win this week after a lot of criticism for a slow start and no goals in their last two games. Crystal Palace have had an average start to their return to the top flight with three points from three games. My prediction; a comfortable 3 – 0 win to Manchester United.

There is an exciting prospect for the game between Aston Villa and Newcastle, with Newcastle’s inconsistency this game could go either way, but Villa, led by Benteke look very exciting and could open up their oppositions defense easily. My prediction – a 2-2 draw in an open game.

Next up is Fulham v West Brom, two sides with slow starts and unknown futures. In the next few weeks we will see where these two sides are at and how good they are. It could be a close, interesting game. My prediction – a hard fought 1-1 draw.

Two newly promoted sides Hull and Cardiff face off and these games will be vital for both teams in their aim to beat the drop. Both did a lot of business in the summer and we will see how it shapes up in the next couple of games. My prediction – a 3-1 win to Cardiff.

Big spending Tottenham play a so far impressive Norwich. I’ll be keeping my eye on this game with two very exciting teams. One who has splashed the cash after losing their main man and one with some good new signings who have played well so far. My prediction – a 2-1 win to Tottenham but a very exciting match.

Roberto Soldado giving Spurs fans a thumbs up after beating Crystal Palace 1-0.

Stoke play Man City and it could be one sided as Stoke work on reinventing themselves. Mark Hughes returns to a former club and hopes to pick up a point but may find it very difficult against a side with more quality.  My prediction – a 2-0 win to City.

Sunderland v Arsenal is an intersting one. Arsenal’s big signing; Mesut Ozil will have his first chance to impress. Arsenal have a weak back line and are yet to have a complete performance, while Sunderland are yet to win a game. My prediction – a 3-1 win to Arsenal.

A big game this weekend, Chelsea play Everton. Everton are still trying to prove that they have what it takes to be a top side and with a new manager they are looking to find some rhythm. Chelsea have started well and want to continue their form. My prediction – a very close, 1-0 win to Chelsea.
