Manchester United have endured a frustrating campaign this season, but manager David Moyes is looking to maintain a momentum, following his side’s back to back victories.

The Red Devils arranged a meeting with Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter finals, after edging out Olympiakos in the last round and the confidence is further boosted with a 2-0 victory against West Ham in the last match, where Wayne Rooney scored a spectacular goal.

Team News: Moyes bereft of enough defensive options, used Michael Carrick in central defence alongside Phil Jones against the Hammers. Nemanja Vidic is still suspended, but Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra may return to face City.

Dutchman Robin van Persie could miss the rest of the campaign through injury, but his absence saw Juan Mata revelling in the no 10 role. Shinji Kagawa also impressed in the last match and could retain the starting spot.

Prediction: 2-2; Going by the form, City should win comfortably, but this is a derby and don’t expect United to helplessly surrender.
