Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinksi is likely to complete a transfer away from Udinese this summer.

The player has been linked with a move to Napoli and Liverpool.

According to latest reports, Udinese are ready to sell the player after he had a superb season on loan at Empoli. Zielinski was even named in the Serie A team of the year.

The Polish international is a target for Serie A giants Napoli and they have already agreed a fee with Udinese.

However, the player fancies a move to Liverpool and has not agreed terms with Napoli yet.

Liverpool’s interest in him is well documented, but there have been no reports of a concrete bid from the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have also been linked with the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud. It could be that the Reds are more interested in Dahoud and Zielinski is more of a fall back option for them.

Either way, Poland crashing out of the Euros will accelerate things and the player will now look to resolve his future.

As things stand, the media clearly believes that he prefers Liverpool, but if a substantial bid is not submitted soon, the player might have to consider a move to Napoli.

Italian outlet TMW are claiming that Zielinski has given his word to Liverpool that he will join them this summer and is waiting for them to complete the move. The next few days should be crucial as far as the transfer of Zielinski is concerned.
