Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been backed to shine under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, if he rejoins the Red Devils, says his former coach Mohamed Chacha.

The 23-year-old left Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer of 2012 and completed a switch to Juventus. At the Turin club, he continued his development as a player and is now one of the best midfielders in the world.

Pogba has also been a regular for France, with his last outing for the national side coming in the final of the European championship against Portugal, which his side lost. He also starred for Juventus in the last season.

The France international’s form for both club and country has seen him attract interest from both United and Champions League winners Real Madrid. The La Liga giants’ manager Zinedine Zidane confirmed his side are interested in signing Juventus star.

Chacha has admitted that Pogba has not hit his peak form and will further improve as a player in the future.

“Returning to United will be a beautiful thing for Paul. When he was there he didn’t have the opportunity to break through to the first team. Now, with his return he can show his talents,”  Chacha told Gazzetta World.

“I don’t like to talk about money, but if the Red Devils are willing to pay so much it’s only because Paul is a great talent and a golden boy who works so hard to win everything.”

“He’s only 23 years old and has room to grow. To train with great players and with a great coach will always make you better. We have yet to see his peak.”

The midfielder’s move to Old Trafford is imminent, despite interest from Madrid, claims ESPN FC. According to Sky Sports, Pogba’s move to United is edging closer as his agent has held further talks with Juventus in helping the Frenchman join the Red Devils.
