In his first press conference for Arsenal, since joining the North London club on the transfer deadline day from Real Madrid for a club-record transfer fee, Mesut Ozil has vowed to give all to end the club’s eight year trophy drought.
The 24-year-old said he is happy to have joined Arsenal and hailed Arsene Wenger as a great manager. Further, he stated that he feels trusted at this new environment, a major reason why he chose to join this club.

“I cannot promise to win trophies, but I can promise that as a team we will give our all to win trophies.”
With midfielder Tomas Rosicky suffering a thigh injury on international duty, Ozil could make his debut against Sunderland on Saturday. The German international says he is more than prepared to face the physical nature of the league.
