Arsenal were thought to be one of the several parties for highly rated French winger Antoine Griezmann and the Gunners could make a move for him in the summer.
During the January transfer window, Spanish journalist Alfredo Duro claimed while speaking on Spanish TV show ‘El Chiringuito’ that the Gunners had made a bid for the Real Sociedad winger.
Griezmann has had an excellent season so far in the La Liga where he scored 15 goals in 23 appearances thus far. He has also caught the attentions of several European heavyweights like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, but it seems Arsenal are equally keen to land him.
According to popular journalist Tom Williams, Wenger has told Tele Foot that Arsenal have been “following Antoine Griezmann for a long time”.

Arsenal tried their luck in January with €14m starting offer which was obviously rejected, as Sociedad are not looking to sell for anything less than €30m, which is the player’s release clause.
