Headlined by two championship bouts: Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane & Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo, UFC 270 promises to be a spectacular event.

For previews for all the main card bouts, as well as the latest odds and our expert’s UFC Picks, read on:

UFC 270: Main Card Bouts

  • Francis Ngannou (c) vs Ciryl Gane – Heavyweight Championship
  • Brandon Moreno (c) vs Deiveson Figueiredo – Flyweight Championship
  • Michel Pereria vs Andre Fialho
  • Sergey Spivak vs Greg Hardy
  • Cody Stamann vs Said Nurmagomedov

After going three of five with our UFC 269 predictions, and being one of the very few sports betting guides to tell our readers to back Juliana Pena vs Amanda Nunez, we’re still spending the winnings from that night!

Up next, it’s UFC 270; we’re feeling confident, and you can see our detailed betting predictions below.

“It’s time…”

Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane Prediction

UFC 270 Francis Ngannou
UFC 270 – Francis Ngannou will defend his belt for the first time since capturing it from Stipe Miocic (bottom)

BetOnline odds: Ngannou: (+134); Gane (-154)

At 10-0, French striker Ciryl Gane might be the flavor of the month in the UFC, and understandably so – we’ve never seen the Black Beast Derek Lewis picked apart quite as Gane did a few months ago. Bon Gamin is quite possibly the most athletic and technically proficient 265 pounder the world of MMA has ever seen.

However, do not underestimate the power of the heavyweight champion of the world, Francis Ngannou (16-3), nor the improvements The Predator has made to his MMA arsenal over the years.

When capturing the belt against former champ, the legendary Stipe Miocic, Ngannou showcased huge leaps in his wrestling and takedown defense, as well as in his cardio. This, coupled with the fact that the Cameroonian has five KO wins in five fights, against a murderers row of elite heavyweight talent: Miocic, Rozenstruik, Lewis, Volkov, and dos Santos – in that order, makes the +134 underdog odds on him baffling, in our opinion.

UFC Pick: Don’t pass up on taking the power-punching Francis Ngannou as a betting underdog! It might not happen again.

Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo Prediction

UFC 270 Predictions Moreno vs Figueiredo
UFC 270 Predictions Moreno vs Figueiredo

BetOnline odds: Moreno (-180); Figueiredo (+155)

This will be the third championship fight in a little over a year between (c) Brandon Moreno (19-5-2) and the now-challenger, Deiveson Figueiredo (20-2-1). The first bout ended in a draw before Moreno took the strap from Figueiredo at the second time of asking.

When we came to do our predictions for the second fight between this pair of warriors, we went all-in on the Mexican champion to emerge the champ because it just seemed as though, halfway through the first bout, that Moreno figured out Figueiredo’s timing and dialed in on the Brazillian.

Had that first fight gone on another five minutes, in our humble opinion there would have been only one winner.

The second fight proved us right in that respect, Moreno smothered the powerful Figueiredo; clearly showcased a superior gas tank and superior grappling ability, and choked him out in the third in routine fashion.

It’s tough going against Figueiredo, who was a remarkable champion in his own right. But, other than knock him out with something flashy this time around, we just don’t see what the Brazillian can do to stifle Moreno come Saturday and expect a repeat performance from the current 115 lb king.

UFC Pick: Moreno’s engine once again overwhelms Figueiredo.

Michel Pereira vs Andre Fialho Prediction

UFC 270 Picks Andre Fialho
UFC 270 Picks – Andre Fialho

BetOnline Odds: Pereira (-270); Fialho (+230)

Andre Fialho is a welterweight boasting a 14-3 record and is in the midst of a four-fight win streak. The Portuguese striker has beaten and battered opponents: Sekulic, Puig, Hoon-Yoo, and Vick, with elbows and punches en route to KO/TKO victories in each of those Ws over in the UAE Warriors organization.

Like Saturday’s opponent, Michel Pereira (26-11), Fialho has a tendency to come out strong with flashy striking but fades as fights get dragged into deeper waters.

However, Fialho doesn’t fade with quite the intensity as Pereira. Watching the Brazillian go 15 minutes really is a game of two halves – the first half dominated by samba skills, technical striking, and kicks, the latter more akin to that painfully dull Ngannou vs Lewis bout we endured a few years back.

Provided both men emerge from the first round with heads attached to shoulders, we expect to see Fialho’s superior cardio play a role in a win courtesy of the judges’ scorecards.

UFC Picks: Pereira’s cardio fails him again as Fialho wins on points

Bet on Fialho to win (+230) at BetOnline

Sergey Spivak vs Greg Hardy – CANCELED

UFC 270 Greg Hardy fight is cancelled
UFC 270 – Greg Hardy fight is canceled
Greg Hardy suffered a gruesome finger injury during fight-camp and this fight has been moved to the UFC 272 card as a result.

Cody Stamann vs Said Nurmagomedov Prediction

UFC 270 Predictions Said Nurmagomedov
UFC 270 Predictions – Said Nurmagomedov

BetOnline Odds: Stamann (+162); Nurmagomedov (-187)

Such was the dominance of Said’s brother in arms, Khabib, the very name Nurmagomedov still brings a chill to the spine for MMA fans.. and it also brings with it a ton of viewers from the US and overseas, and also a fair whack of cash for that matter!

Saturday’s opponent, Cody Stamann (19-4-1) isn’t to be taken lightly and is certainly not a sacrificial lamb. But, after seeing the good name tarnished slightly when Said Nurmagomedov (14-2) lost to Raoni Barcelos back at Fight Night: Zombie vs Edgar, one can’t help but feel that the Dagestani’s first appearance on a numbered main card is expected to be his true announcement on the scene.

UFC matchmakers do follow the boxing tradition of allowing future stars to work their way to the top of the ladder by chalking off, let’s call them, selected opponents – Sean O’Malley and Conor McGregor, and -even- Khabib spring to mind in this regard. And we’re just wondering if perhaps Sean Shelvey and co. are following a similar narrative with young Said.

UFC Picks: Nurmagomedov takes a big win and bosses the mic for good measure
