Carlos Queiroz’s contract as assistant manager at Manchester United expires at the end of the season, and from the looks of it, his future is still uncertain.
Personally I’m not a big fan of Quieroz, although seeing how Ferguson accepted him back from Real Madrid it’s obvious that the Manchester United management values him highly.
In his own words, Quieroz says he’s still waiting for a ‘spectacular project’ to take him away from Manchester United – either an offer from a big club in Portugal or Spain, or a national team.
I think he’ll stick around for the next season, but if Ferguson is planning to stick around for a few more years he might want to start planning for another number two – one that can be groomed to take over. That’s just my preference though.
