According to the Guardian, Robinho harbors dreams of adding to Manchester City’s Brazilian contingent, as he wants Kaka to join him in Manchester.
This summer, it seemed like AC Milan were at least a little open to the idea of selling Kaka, with Chelsea linked with a world-record move for the reigning FIFA World Player of the Year. If he does move to England, I think it’d be there, but now that City have bottomless pockets, could Robinho’s dream have a serious chance at becoming reality?
It’d certainly be interesting to see the bidding war if AC Milan did decide that being able to buy an entire squad’s worth of talented players is worth selling him. Chelsea have won many a bidding war since Roman Abramovich’s takeover, but this could be one that they lose.
Of course, you have to consider if Kaka would actually want to move to Manchester City right now. City’s still very much in the beginning of their building project, so it’d be a lateral move, at best. On the other hand, Kaka’s basically won all he can at AC Milan, and there is the small possibility that helping lead City to great heights could appeal to him.
