Horse Racing Betting Tips for Monday December 6th:

LUDLOW RACECARD No.1s

John Groucott has won three of the last four renewals of Ludlow’s 1.00 race and MASSINI MAN, number 1 on the racecard, has solid claims in this 2m4f contest after shaping well over 2m here on his stable debut last time. The Paul Nicholls-trained MIRANDA is another racecard number 1 with sound claims. The six-year-old has form figures of 11112 (4-5) when competing in mares only races and won this last year. Top weights have a good record in the 3m1.5f handicap chase (2.00) and while SWITCH HITTER has his quirks, a clear round should see him thereabouts under Bryony Frost. WILD MAX (2.30) disappointed in a hot handicap hurdle at Ascot on his comeback but the ground was softer than preferred and he was having his first start following wind surgery. He looks interesting on his chasing debut. The other racecard number 1s have less obvious chances but it will be disappointing if we don’t cover the Spreadex market, currently set at 48-51.

FIRST IMPRESSION – 1.15 Musselburgh

I was very taken with the Wetherby success of FIRST IMPRESSION last month, as he raced on the inside of the track where the ground was clearly slower. He’s gone up 7lb for that win but remains open to masses of improvement as a hurdler and can defy top weight. Back him in the Spreadex fixed odds betting at 11-10 or buy at 28-31 on the spreads.
