Man Utd host West Ham in the afternoon kick off on Saturday, with David Moyes’ men looking to build on their growing good form.

Having lost two consecutive home games for the first time in 10 years, Utd have slowly begun to regain their confidence, and the results are starting to improve. A 3-0 win last time out in the league against Villa, coupled with a midweek League Cup quarter final win over Stoke will have given them a real boost going into this fixture.

Man Utd Team News:

Defence: Nemanja Vidic is a doubt for the trip to London, with the Serbian having missed the last two games with a head injury. Phil Jones is likely to fill in at centre back in Vidic’s absence, partnering Jonny Evans.

Rafael looks likely to be deployed at right-back, with the Brazilian providing more energy down the flank in recent weeks than Chris Smalling.

Midfield: If Jones does indeed slot into the defence, then Ryan Giggs could come in to play alongside Tom Cleverley in the middle of the park, with Marouane Fellaini’s back still an issue.

Januzaj may be handed the role wide left, but Ashley Young’s good showing against Stoke could earn him consecutive starts.

Attack: Wayne Rooney missed the League Cup win at Stoke on Wednesday with a groin problem, but Moyes expects him to be back for the festive fixtures.

Danny Welbeck’s brace against Villa last week could see him partner his England colleague up top.Robin van Persie remains out until January.

Prediction: 2-1 – I expect the Hammers to give Utd a run for their money, and with RVP out and Rooney not at 100%, it could be very close.
