Paulo Dybala signs for Juventus

Palermo coach Beppe Iachini has confirmed that Paulo Dybala has signed for Juventus. The young Argentine was again left on the bench for Palermo’s 1-0 win away to Cagliari on Sunday as President Maurizio Zamparini doesn’t want him to get injured.

Gianluca Di Marzio staff david Amoyal also confirmed the news through his Twitter Handle.

Iachini was quoted saying to Sky Sport Italia, “Dybala is now a Juventus player and this club is working towards the future. The more time young players get on the field, the better their chances of showing what they can do.”

Yesterday we had reported that Juventus had already agreed terms for the transfer and that the official announcement was imminent. Yesterday the Bianconeri secured the services of Dybala after a 3 hour meeting in Turin with the player’s agent. Juventus CEO Guiseppe Marotta and Sporting Director Fabio Paratici met with Dybala’s representative Triulzi to close the deal.

The recent developments will come as a huge blow for Arsenal and Chelsea who were also interested in the striker over the last couple of months. The 21 year old has enjoyed a stunning season having scored 13 goals and grabbing 10 assists in 33 appearances.

The Argentine striker is expected to sign a 5 year deal with the Old Lady with an annual salary of €2.2m after taxes plus bonuses while the annual wages will go up over the life the contract. Palermo will receive €28m plus €8m in potential bonuses. The deal will also see Edoardo Goldaniga join Palermo who is already at the Sicilian club on loan.
