Manchester United are desperately trying to sign a world class striker this summer and the Old Trafford outfit are already plotting a big money move for the Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang has been in red hot form this season and the Gabon international has already bagged 30 goals in 31 appearances this season with the German outfit. It is understood that Aubameyang is keen to join a European heavyweight this summer and Manchester United are desperate to land him.

Manchester United executive Ed Woodward is desperate to sign the Gabon international and now reports are claiming that incoming Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has already given his backing for the transfer.

The Old Trafford outfit are now expected to break the bank for the Bundesliga star in an attempt to strengthen their strikeforce for next season.

Although the Red Devils might not be in the Champions League next season, they could make it worth his while with a big money offer.

Borussia Dortmund have previously said they do not want to sell their star player but the player’s suitors believe that the German outfit might be willing to do a deal on their own terms during the summer window.

Manchester United would need to offer around £60 million to land the goal machine from Dortmund this summer.
