Manchester United host Liverpool in a feisty north-west derby this weekend and the Red Devils will be looking to make it ten wins on the spin.

Jose Mourinho’s men are in supreme form right now and will be hoping to inflict further misery on a struggling Liverpool side. The Portuguese manager will be looking to maintain his habit of disappointing the Merseyside outfit time and again.

The home side will be without two of their defenders Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly. Eric Bailly is on international duty with Ivory Coast and Rojo has a muscle injury he picked up in the FA Cup game.

Predicted Manchester United Starting Lineup (4-2-3-1): De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Ibrahimovic.

Jurgen Klopp will be dreading Liverpool’s trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Reds are going through a rough patch right now and have failed to win their last three matches against beatable opposition – Sunderland, Plymouth and Southampton. United will be a much bigger test for them.

Liverpool have had a very good start to the season and are five points off the top of the table. However, if they fail to win at Old Trafford it could be damaging to their morale.

Klopp could be without his captain Jordan Henderson. The England midfielder only returned to training earlier today and is lacking in match fitness. Sadio Mané is away with Senegal for the Africa Cup of Nations, while Joel Matip remains injured.

Predicted Liverpool Starting Lineup (4-3-3): Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner; Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana; Coutinho, Firmino, Origi.

Juan Mata has contributed to five goals in his last four Premier League appearances against Liverpool. Bet on Mata to score anytime. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in red hot form and has a good chance of scoring as well.

The home side will be the favourites for this game. Despite being four places below Liverpool in the standings, they are in better form right now and should be able to make that advantage count.

Furthermore, Liverpool are missing key players like Mane, Matip and Henderson. The away side have been quite inconsistent at the back and will be up against the most in-form striker in the country right now.

A home win seems likely.
