Adnan Januzaj-James Wilson

Striker James Wilson has not been given a fair chance at Manchester United this season. But Lionel Messi has tipped the youngster to grow into a future world beater.

Despite Manchester United’s goalscoring problems Van Gaal has overlooked the highly rated academy graduate this season.

Although new signing Anthony Martial has been a huge success at Old Trafford, Van Gaal’s other attacking options in the form of Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay have failed miserably so far.

The young striker has impressed for United at the youth level and deserved a chance ahead of the misfiring duo of Depay and Rooney. However, Wilson has only appeared twice for Manchester United this season.

Earlier this season it seemed like Wilson would leave on loan in search of regular first team football. But the young striker decided to stay after signing a new deal at Manchester United.

Wilson is highly regarded by the United fans and they will be excited to see Lionel Messi backing him.

In collaboration with Adidas, Messi has named ten young footballers who could be the stars of future.

James Wilson is joined by the likes of Werner, Kenedy, Boga, Shelton, Zardes, Rony Lopes, Cornet, Miranchuk and Bentivegna on that list.
