Good news for Manchester United fans. Reports from the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website claim that the Red Devils lead Barcelona in their pursuit of €40m rated Colombian sensation Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina.

Could be heading to Barcelona?

Gazzetta Dello Sport have confirmed that Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle had a long meeting Cuadrado’s agent yesterday, the club patron who claimed that he is not too optimistic about the 26 year old staying with the La Viola for the coming 2014-15 season.

However Della Valle has given potential suitors Barcelona and United a deadline of seven to ten days to sign the player but has reaffirmed that Fiorentina will not lower their €40m asking price for the Colombian.

We have given 7-10 days to decide. Two weeks at most but if you reach certain numbers, it will be almost impossible to hold. The city must know.

“I am concerned about the overlap that other teams can offer him. Anyway let’s see. Hopefully we will not be caught unprepared. From what I see, and how we’re playing, more than two purchases we make in two weeks, I see no more than three teams are stronger than us. “
