Carrick-RVP-Olympiakos

louis-vangaal_2799010bLouis van Gaal has confirmed Michael Carrick is the only player injured ahead of Manchester United’s league clash against Burnley at Old Trafford.

The 20-times English champions take on Bunrley in the mid-week clash after settling for a draw against West Ham United in the league fixture on Sunday. Luke Shaw was sent off after the left-back received his second yellow of the match in the dying moments.

The former Southampton is suspended for the clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday, while Carrick is still on the sideline with a muscle injury.

“Only Michael Carrick is injured. Luke Shaw is, of course, suspended so I have to choose out of the rest. Yesterday I played five players first team players in the second team – they won against Chelsea but I have to see how they have recovered,” Van Gaal said.
