Liverpool prepare final €22m mega bid to lure Spaniard

This Alberto Moreno saga is really getting messy now. At one point of time, it seemed that the deal was just a formality but it has hit a snag since then.

To put it better, it is still hanging in the balance. One moment the deal is completely off with Liverpool having lost all their interest in the Spaniard and are looking for other alternatives, while the interest reignites again at other moment. And to make the matter more complicated, Atletico Madrid have joined the race too, but the Rojiblacos are willing to do cash plus player part exchange deals, something which doesn’t encourage Sevilla.

Few days back, representatives from Liverpool visited Sevilla, where a deal was struck for Reds’ striker Iago Aspas. The Spaniard joined on a season long loan, with Sevilla holding the option of signing him permanently next season.

Liverpool based newspaper Liverpool Echo claim that the merseyside giants will only make an attempt to sign Moreno, should the Andalusian club reduce their asking fee to less than £20m.

Spanish newspaper Marca however claim  Liverpool are preparing a final offer of €20m bid plus €2m additional bonuses to Sevilla for Moreno, which should be enough to seal the deal. The report claims that although an opening bid was rejected, a deal can still be done, with Sevilla might be willing to drop their asking price.
