Liverpool have sacked Brendan Rodgers after a 1-1 draw against Everton, in the Merseyside Derby yesterday.

It appears that former Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp is the favorite to replace the former Swansea manager.

According to the Telegraph, Klopp has already informed his friends that he will return to management within two weeks. Despite not naming his destination, Liverpool are thought to be the front-runners for his services.

Klopp has also been approached by Bayern Munich this season, but Guardiola is set to see out this season and it seems Klopp is ready to take up a new challenge right away.

Liverpool fans will be excited with the news, considering that most of them were hoping the charismatic German to take over.

Furthermore, Klopp was also the first choice manager for FSG, when they bought Liverpool football club.

It seems the supporters and the owners have finally found a perfect match.

The Merseysiders are set to pay a compensation of more than 10 million pounds to Brendan Rodgers.

It is believed that Rodgers won’t rush back into management anytime soon. The former Liverpool boss will now take some time off and then assess his options in the summer.
