Liverpool right back Glen Johnson could well be on his way out of the club in the upcoming January transfer window. The 30 year old had earlier openly stated that he hasn’t been offered a contract extension despite the fact that his present agreement expires at the end of the season.

We have been reporting over the past few weeks that Italian side Roma are interested in Johnson and could possibly bring the player to the Italian capital in January. Moreover, the player also wants a new experience away from Liverpool.

Yesterday the trusted and reliable TMW website published an exclusive report that Johnson’s agent is certain to fly to Rome and discuss a possible move for his client. It is believed that Roma are interested but manager Rudi Gracia isn’t entirely convinced with the defender’s poor form over the past couple of seasons.

Moreover, Johnson’s wages could also be a stumbling block for the Giallorossi. But with the Reds reluctant to offer the player a contract extension, the Anfield side would be inclined to sell in January rather than lose him on a free in the coming summer.
