The relationship between Zakaria Bakkali and PSV Eindhoven are getting worse day by day with the player unwilling to commit his future at the Dutch club.

The 18-year-old Belgian, who became famous for being the youngster ever player to score a hat-trick in the Eredivise (a feat that earned him an international appearance as well), has been chased by both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Early in march, De Telegraaf reported Liverpool are genuinely interested in the youngster with Rodgers having sent scouts to watch Bakkali on several occasions and has been impressed with the reports.

PSV interim coach Ernest Faber is extremely disappointed with recent performances of Bakkali, but his headstrong behaviour and doughty refusal to sign a new contract has left everyone at the club fuming.

At the training camp in Gran Canaria in January, Bakkali promised the club’s technical director that he will sign a new contract, but till now, he has failed to keep his word.

His contract expires in mid 2015 and the best way to solve the problem is to sell him to the highest bidder. Perfect opportunity for both Arsenal and Liverpool to make the best use of this situation.
