Chelsea captain, John Terry had a dig at former manager Rafael Benitez after the Blues clinched their 5th league title this afternoon.

The former England international claimed that Rafa was wrong in his assessment of Terry when he claimed the Chelsea captain is not fit enough to play twice a week.

The former Liverpool manager was in charge of Chelsea as an interim coach before Jose arrived last season. Benitez guided the Blues to a European trophy in his short spell in charge.

According to John Terry, the Spaniard believed that Terry was not fit enough to play twice a week and hence rotated him as and when he felt necessary.

“One person said I couldn’t play twice in a week. He knows who he is. I have proved him wrong as I’m still fighting, still in the side and feeling great”, he said.

John Terry has been in sensational form this season and is arguably the best centre back in the league at the moment.

The Chelsea captain is 34 and although he is nearing the end of his career, Terry feels he is in a good shape and is ready to contribute to the side as long as he can.
