Inter Milan are still hoping to land at least three players from Chelsea this summer, albeit all are back-up plans.
Let me elucidate here. Tuttosport reports that Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has been talking with several agents and prosecutors in England to get few players from the Premier League.
Already they’ve signed Nemanja Vidic from Manchester United and are looking to sign Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko from Manchester City. Dzeko, who collected his second Premier League recently is Inter’s first choice this season, and although they couldn’t offer him Champions League football, the Bosnian can be lured with regular football, something which he craves for.
In case, Inter fail to land their dream target, they’ve sketched a plan B that includes three players from Chelsea – Fernando Torres, John Obi Mikel and Demba Ba.
Chelsea will buy at least two world class strikers in the summer and if the reports are to believed they’ve already signed Diego Costa. The futures of Chelsea strikers are in doubt, which means both Ba and Torres could be sold as well. However, Inter are only keen to sign them on loan.
Likewise, Mikel’s future seems lie away from Stamford Bridge too, as the Nigerian hardly featured this season under Mourinho.
