It is very well known that Manchester United were interested to acquire the services of Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado right throughout the summer. The Colombian had a fantastic World Cup and it was believed that a €40m move was on the cards. However the 26 year stayed put at Fiorentina but back in the first week of November, Real Madrid joined the race for the winger.

Today’s reports from Florence based media outlet Viola News however have cited La Nazione that the player could well make a move in the near future. But it is highly unlikely that Cuadrado will leave the Italian outfit in the upcoming January transfer window. It is believed that Cuadrado’s discontent hasn’t gone unnoticed at the club who could be inclined to sell if United make a €40m bid.

Fiorentina didn’t start the Serie A season on a high but they have been in good form over the past weeks and are now on 8th place with 23 points from 15 games and just 3 points adrift of the final Champions League place available. Manager Vincenzo Montella side would be desperate to keep hold of Cuadrado but if the price is met in the coming summer, Fiorentina would be forced to sell.
