EA Sports Ranking Premier League

Week 15 in the Premier League saw Chelsea’s unbeaten start to the season ended by Newcastle United at the St James’ Park, defeat for Arsenal, another unimpressive performance from Liverpool and Manchester United jumping into third after beating Southampton 2-1 at St Mary’s.

Chelsea still lead the Premier League table, three points clear of Manchester City, but their unbeaten run came to an abrupt end after Newcastle earned a deserved 2-1 victory at their own backyard.

We have the latest EA Sports Player performance index and let us check how the table stands up after week 15.

Sergio Aguero is still leading the table with 475 points, but the Argentine is expected to lose his position, as he is now sidelined for a considerable period of time.

Diego Costa has maintained the #2 spot, but the Spain international has now gone three games without scoring – Chelsea boss Mourinho believes injury has played a part in his sudden drop of form.

Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have maintained their positions in #3 and #5 respectively. Brazilian Oscar has dropped five place down to #15 while Nemanja Matic, who was suspended against Newcastle dropped four places down in #20.

Southampton vs Manchester United highlights

Robin van Persie hinted of returning back to his old best after scoring two goals to give Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Southampton. The Dutchman has moved 10 places up in #8 with 292 points.

Arsenal had a tough night at Stoke, where they suffered a frustrating 3-2 defeat. Stoke went 3-0 at half time, but the Gunners returned strongly pulling back two goals in quick succession.

Alexis Sanchez was unlucky not to have added a goal to his name after his brilliant solo effort ended in hitting the side of the bar. He maintains his #4 place with 365 points, only four points shy of Hazard.

Liverpool only managed a 0-0 draw with Sunderland at home, where Raheem Sterling once again emerged out as the stand out performer. The young England international has dropped three places down in #11th, one point ahead of Man City’s Yaya Toure.
