The future of €35m rated Manchester United target Miralem Pjanic remains nothing short a puzzle as the Roma player recently claimed that Barcelona would be one of his favourite destinations.

Premier League Transfer

The Roma midfielder who has enjoyed a stellar season for Roma in the Serie A has been linked a move away from the Italian capital for the past few weeks. Manchester United are desperate to land the 24 year old, who they believe would be a solution to their midfield woes.

We had also earlier reported that French Ligue 1 Champions Paris St Germain will plot a move for Pjanic in the summer.

The Bosnian has a contract with Roma till 2015 and demands €4m per year plus added bonus. The Wolves however are willing to offer only €3.2m and added bonus depending on performances. Moreover, Pjanic is yet to sign a contract extension which will have a  €35m release clause.

Pjanic however gave the clearest indication of other foreign interests when he was interviewed by webcast ‘The Mi-Temps de Sidney’ by former French player Sidney Govou.

“It’s amazing to be linked with Paris St Germain. It’s the only French side I would have wanted to join. Now I’m in Rome and I feel very well here. Paris is a place that I would have liked. PSG are a great team. “What happens in Paris is good for French football, it is the first club I played against when I was at Metz.

Pjanic also admitted to Barcelona’s interest. “With so many good players it would be easy to be understood in the field. Their style of play is the same as in Rome with Rudi Garcia, I would adapt very well. It is there that I could demonstrate the best of my qualities and Barcelona wouldn’t be a bad destination.”

The Giallorossi star has scored six goals and grabbed an equal number of assists for Rudi Garcia’s side who have had an exceptional Serie A campaign and are set to feature in the Champions League next season.
