Arsenal have allowed their striker Yaya Sanogo join Premier League outfit Crystal Palace on-loan till the end of the season.

The Frenchman has seen his appearances being limited, especially when Arsene Wenger was starting with Danny Welbeck in the absence of Olivier Giroud for the first half of the season.

A statement on Arsenal’s official website read, “Yaya Sanogo has joined Crystal Palace on loan for rest of the season.”

“The 21-year-old forward has played six times for Arsenal this term, scoring his first competitive goal for the club in the 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund in November.”

“Sanogo joins Crystal Palace for the opportunity to gain more first team experience. Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Yaya the best of luck during his time at Selhurst Park,” it added.

The Eagles are struggling in the league and recently sacked their former manager Neil Warnock. He is now replaced by Alan Pardew, who left Newcastle United to take the vacant job at Selhurst Park.

In his opening league game, Palace came from behind to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1. With Sanogo joining them on-loan, it will give Pardew more options in the attacking front and will also hand the striker the much needed experience in the Premier League.
