Lawrie Sanchez has been given money to spend in the transfer market and he has brought in several good players.

The question remains – is Lawrie Sanchez good enough to get Fulham to push back up the table? The players Fulham have brought in are good but not ‘world-class’ or top-quality by any stretch.

Lawrie has focused on bringing in players hungry for success and that could count in Fulham’s favour.

Fulham are still 1-2 quality players short though, and could struggle this season unless they get a few lucky breaks.

Manager Status: Lawrie Sanchez has been given substantial transfer funds so the onus will be on him to get Fulham to improve on the previous season. His job could be in danger if Fulham are still fighting relegation at the end of the season.

Transfer Analysis: Brought in motivated players, but will they be good enough?

Players to watch: Steven Davis was at one time earmarked as a potential top-four target, and he’ll have plenty to prove at Fulham.

August Fixtures: Arsenal away, Bolton and Boro at home and Villa away.

Expectations: A solid mid-table showing would help the club stabilise and build for the future.

Predictions: It’s tough, but Fulham could be scraping in the bottom half of the table (16th-20th) come May 08.
