Chelsea v Bristol Rovers
Capital One Cup 2016/17
23rd August, 19:45 pm BST
Stamford Bridge, London
TV info: Match is not live on TV

Chelsea takes on Bristol Rovers in the Capital One Cup later today and Antonio Conte will be looking to extend his winning run.

The Blues have won both of their Premier League games so far and will look at this competition as a great chance to win something.

Chelsea won the Capital One Cup in 14/15 and then failed to defend it last season. Conte will want to get his hands on a trophy in his first season and this is probably his best chance.

So far, Chelsea have looked very well organised as a unit but they are lacking some cohesion in the attack. The likes of Hazard, Costa and Batshuayi have all performed well individually and this will be a great opportunity for them to improve their play as a group.

The League One side are miles off Chelsea in terms of quality and are going through a rough patch as well. Bristol have won just one of their last five matches in normal time and will have a huge challenge in front of them at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Chelsea v Bristol Rovers: Team News

Neither sides have any fresh injury concerns and are likely to field their strongest eleven here.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte could rest the likes of Ivanovic and Costa in order to keep them fresh for this weekend’s Premier League game. Michy Batshuayi is expected to start up front and Ola Aina should replace Ivanovic as the right back.
