Is Lukaku on his way to Tottenham?

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he will leave the Blues this summer transfer window.

The Belgium international joined the west London club from Anderlecht in 2011 and in his first season, he saw his first team appearances being limited. The 21-year-old prolific striker spent the last two seasons away from Stamford Bridge on loan.

During the 2012-13 season, Lukaku was exceptional during his one-year loan spell at West Bromwich Albion. Last season, the Chelsea striker was with Roberto Martinez’s Everton. He has scored 32 goals in the Premier League in the last two seasons.

Lukaku has expressed his desire not be a part of Jose Mourinho’s squad next season.

“You know Chelsea, every year they buy a new top striker. I remember me coming into the dressing room last year and seeing Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba and going, ‘Whoah! What’s happening here?” Lukaku said.

“But no problem. Many clubs are interested in me. At this stage, I have to look to myself. I have to play a good World Cup. That’s very interesting for all the players looking for a transfer. And I must be one of them. Chelsea know my point of view.”

Should the Stamford Bridge club allow Lukaku leave this summer the former Real Madrid striker has Fernando Torres and Demba Ba at his disposal after Samuel Eto’o confirmed that he will also leave Chelsea after spending one year with the Blues.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are set to seal a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa. The Guardian reported the Spain international is set to complete his move to the Premier League club before the start of the World Cup next week.
