Chelsea have begun negotiations with the agent of Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnian playmaker has been sensational for the Italians over the last couple of seasons and has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

It appears that Chelsea are already in contact with the player’s agent. According to the Italian media, Pjanic also has a 31 million euro release clause and Chelsea would have to pay it if they want to sign the midfielder.

Roma are unwilling to let go of their prized asset at a discounted price and Chelsea must agree to meet Pjanic’s release clause in order to sign him.

The Blues have lacked creativity in the midfield as well as the final third at times this season and adding someone like Pjanic would be ideal. The Bosnian can operate as a central midfielder as well as the number ten. Pjanic will add some much-needed vision, creativity and technique to the Chelsea midfield.

Meanwhile, the Blues are also exploring the possibility of signing the PSG forward Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan is unhappy with his limited role at the French club and is desperate to make a move in the summer.

Chelsea are keen to do a swap deal with PSG involving Diego Costa for the South American striker. Manchester United are monitoring his situation as well and Chelsea could face stiff competition from the Old Trafford outfit.

Recently the player’s father revealed that a move to Manchester United or Real Madrid would be good for him.

Finally, French media seem to think that Jose Mourinho to Manchester United is almost done and the former Chelsea manager is looking to sign the PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The report states that Mourinho has called up the Swedish superstar and has informed him of his plans.

Manchester United certainly need a number nine this summer, but Ibrahimovic is nearing the end of his peak and might not represent the best value for money.
