Can Totti play in the Premiership?

After watching Totti score yet another well-taken goal (video below), I’m wondering if he could play well in the Premiership?

The obvious concerns will be raised – he’s Roma for life (at one point so was Sheva for Milan), he’s Italian and won’t leave home (Cannavaro and Zambrotta?) and he might not be fast enough for the Premiership (is Larsson? Solskjaer? Sheer pace isn’t everything).

I don’t think Totti will come, mainly because of fan loyalty and because he won’t get the same elevated status he gets at Roma anywhere else.

It would be good though, to see him trot out in the Premiership (even if he was playing for Liverpool or Chelsea – or Tottenham 😛 ).
