The British Masters Preview
After a compelling Catalunya Championship last week, the DP World Tour brings us back to the the United Kingdom this week. Some of the world’s best golfers are heading to The Belfry in a bid to win the British Masters in what should be a fun-filled, eventful week in England.
Some notable names such as Lee Westwood, Danny Willett, Robert MacIntyre, Andy Sullivan and Eddie Pepperell all feature at The Belfry this week.
Last year, Richard Bland triumphed as he won a playoff against Guido Migloizzi after the pair both finished on -13 par around this course. The Englishman goes into this week in a bid to defend his title and is one of the market leaders again. If you think Bland can go back-to-back, he can be backed at a price of 33/1 with Bet UK.
The prize money for this event is staggering. The prize pot is a tasty $1.85 million, with the winner taking home a tidy $166,660. So although this isn’t necessarily regarded as one of the biggest tournaments on the DP World Tour calendar, there is still a mouth-watering prize fund to play for.
Here is who we think has the best chance of winning and giving us a good each-way run at the British Masters this week at The Belfry, hosted by Danny Willett.
The British Masters betting tips

British Masters Tip 1: Danny Willett to win @ 35/1 with Bet UK
Tournament host and former Masters champion, Danny Willett, is our selection to come out on top this week at The Belfry in the 2022 British Masters.
After a great run at Augusta last month, the former major champion is playing well again and is most certainly one of the stand out names in the field this week on the DP World Tour.
Willett’s last win on the European Tour came in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last year, where he finished on -18 par and beat Tyrrell Hatton to the title.
The Englishman has found some of his best form again, after struggling for a few year after he won his maiden major championship.
Here at SportsLens, we think Willett will have a great run in his own tournament this week and show why on his day he is still one of the best golfers on the European Tour and in the world.
Certainly one of the leading market contenders at a great price of 35/1 with Bet UK.
British Masters Tip 2: Marcus Kinhult to win and each-way @ 125/1 with Bet UK
A massive outsider at a huge price of 125/1, we think Marcus Kinhult has the golf game to go well this week at The Belfry.
The Swede finished third in a tournament at the back end of March, but has since then struggled a bit for the past month or so. On his day, the 25-year-old is one of the best ball strikers and all-round players on the European Tour.
This fantastic price cannot be ignored from our perspective, as Kinhult is a previous winner on the European Tour. It wasn’t just any old event either, it was the British Masters in 2019. That shows that Kinhult is more than capable of winning on British soil and will fancy his chances this week heading to The Belfry.
Aiming to become a two-time British Master, Kinhult is our selection this week to have a good run and perhaps claim some each-way money for you golfing punters out there.
Certainly a great each-way shout at a magnificent price of 125/1 with Bet UK.
Other notable mentions
Although Willett and Kinhult are our biggest fancies for potential success this week, here are some other notable players who we think have a good chance at a great price:
Robert MacIntyre @ 22/1, Dean Burmester @ 33/1, Ryan Fox @ 35/1, Victor Perez @ 60/1 and Matthew Jordan @ 70/1. All prices are with Bet UK.
