According to German media, Arsenal are keen to sign a world class player this window and Wenger has identified Borussia Dortmund attacker, Marco Reus as his prime target.

Marco Reus has been linked with a move away from Dortmund this summer with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal linked. The German has also been tipped to replace Benzema at Real Madrid.

Arsenal Transfer: Not for sale?

Since the departure of Jurgen Klopp, Dortmund have made it clear that none of their players are for sale and have already turned down offers for Aubameyang.

However, Wenger believes that an offer of 48 million pounds might force the Germans to sell. Realistically, Dortmund are no where near in terms financial power or club stature and a huge offer could well convince them.

Arsenal Transfer: Money not an issue

Arsenal director, Lord Harris confirmed that the club will back Wenger with as much money he wants. Further, he also claimed that Arsenal are capable of signing any player except Messi and Ronaldo.

Reus would be an outstanding addition for Wenger, who continues to follow his philosophy of adding one world class player every summer to improve the core of his side.

Arsenal Transfer: Aid the title challenge

Reus would be an instant upgrade on the likes of Walcott and Welbeck and would take Arsenal to the next level.

Wenger expects to challenge for the title next season and Reus’ world class ability and experience of winning the league will certainly be invaluable should the Gunners pull it off.
