Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has finally given vent to frustrations over his lack of game time at the Emirates and the 29 year old has admitted that he could leave the North London club in January. The Guardian have reported that the World Cup winner will consider offers in the upcoming transfer window. Podolski could have left the club earlier but claims that a lack of offers saw him stay put at the North London side.

Podolski said, “I am not happy with the situation at the moment. It would be wrong to suggest that I am. I still have fun playing football but when the competitive element of it is taken away from me, the one I enjoy so much, then I am not happy. I have to think about will happen this winter and will look to hold talks with the club.”

Despite reports from Italy that Napoli and Juventus were interested to acquire his services, Podolski claims, “There were no offers. In football you can’t sadly just go looking for a club but have to see what comes.”

Podolski’s situation is understandable. The left footed star still wants to play regular football, but he knows that it is impossible at the Gunners. He has started only one game this season and with Theo Walcott returning from a long term injury, Podolski is set to fall further down the packing order on Arsene Wenger’s list. Thus it appears that the German’s career is certainly over at Arsenal.
