Arsenal 2013-14 away kit

Arsenal have unveiled their new away kit, in collaboration with Nike, for the upcoming 2013-14 season that happens to be fusion of the club’s traditional away colours of yellow and blue, with a distinct contemporary style.

The kit is currently being promoted at the Emirates Stadium, with a giant banner featuring the some of the core group of Arsenal’s British young talents – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Cark Jenkinson, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere – at the side of the stadium.

“The kit looks and feels great. Arsenal is synonymous with yellow and blue and I think this new design fuses that tradition with a modern twist. I can’t wait to get out on the pitch and wear it,” said Walcott.

The colour combination of the new strip showcases Nike’s inherent belief in style, craft and strong aesthetics. The shirt is yellow with a blue polo collar and deep blue cuffs on the sleeves. The polo-shirt collar epitomizes the best of London style, ranging from fine gentleman’s tailoring to urban street wear.

The design of blue and yellow socks dates to the days, when hoop stock designs were first used in 1930’s under the stewardship of legendary manager Herbert Chapman.

Use of advanced technology in manufacturing kits and wears are the hallmarks of Nike, and here the kit has been made from recycled polyester, with thirteen recycled plastic water bottles are used to prepare the shirt and shorts of each kit.

Amazingly, in the modern world, where pollution has been a major reason, why life on Earth is gradually edging towards decay; Nike have found a revolutionary way of manufacturing something productive by using more than 1.1 billion plastic bottles from landfills through the use of recycled polyester.

The light-weighted fabric used is integrated with Nike Dri-FIT technology, which will draw away the sweat from the body and will keep players cool and dry.

Overall, the innovative designs will add a sparkling appearance to the kit, whereas the latest technologies used would provide more comfort further enhancing the player’s performances.
